EPA Pellet Stove · 39,260 BTU · Heats 500-2,000 sq ft
The Osburn 2500 is an EPA 2020 pellet stove with the look of a traditional wood stove. It has a top-feed burner, an electronic igniter, thermostatic control and a hopper that holds 60 pounds of pellets.
This is Osburn's entry-level pellet model. It shares ideas with the 3000 but wears a classic wood stove appearance. Materials include Canadian steel, German-imported glass-ceramic, stainless steel heat exchangers and thermosetting powder paint.
Electronic controls and thermostatic control keep daily use simple, and an electronic igniter starts the fire. Cleaning is easy because the parts are removable without tools. Average particulate emissions are below 0.96 g/h.
Osburn says the 2500 qualifies for various credits and programs, including government incentives. It runs on 120 VAC, uses a 3" vent and needs premium grade or better pellets. Mobile home installation is approved with a fresh air intake.
